CALDWELL, N.J.- The Caldwell University women's soccer team knocked off conference leader Jefferson 2-1 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest on senior day.
The Cougars improve to 7-3-3 overall and 6-1-3 in the CACC, while the Rams drop to 11-4-0 and 10-1-0 in conference play.
Jefferson took the early lead with a goal in the 20th minute of play.
The Cougars pulled even just before halftime as freshman
Sarah Costanza (Morris Plains, N.J.) assisted on the game-tying goal by senior
Meghan Grundhauser (Easton, Pa.) in the 36th minute.
Caldwell netted the go-ahead goal in the 72nd minute off a corner kick. Freshman
Nicole Alfano (Union, N.J.) and senior
Amber Raines (Millville, N.J.) assisted on Costanza's fifth goal of the season.
Sophomore
Jamie-Lee Bamford (Braintree, United Kingdom) posted five saves in the win.
Prior to the game, the women's soccer program honored his nine graduating seniors that include

Emily Osborn (Beachwood, N.J.),

Jennifer Storms (Upper Montclair, N.J.).
The Cougars travel to Nyack College on Wednesday, November 6 at 1 pm. The game will be played at Lincoln Park in Jersey City, N.J.
