PHILADELPHIA, Pa.- The Caldwell University women's volleyball team came up short to Chestnut Hill College 3-2 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match.

The Cougars fall to 8-16 overall and 6-6 in the CACC, while the Griffins improve to 10-11 and 7-6 in conference play.

Chestnut Hill took the opening set 25-20 but the Cougars rallied back to win the next two sets 28-26 and 25-18. The Griffins battled back to take the next two sets 28-26 and 15-4 to win the match.

Elise Smith (O'Fallon, Ill.) led the way with 22 kills and 10 digs, while junior
Marina Schlaepfer (Aurora, Colo.) posted 17 kills and 18 digs. Senior
Katie Compagno (Orland Park, Ill.) finished with eight kills and three blocks. Â

Humiko Stormer (Luckey, Ohio) collected 23 digs and three aces, while sophomore
Samantha Ashton (Colonia, N.J.) totaled 38 assists and 12 digs.
