NEWARK, Del.- The Caldwell University men's soccer team fell to national #16 Wilmington University 5-2 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest.
The Cougars fall to 2-10-0 overall and 2-6-0 in the CACC, while the Wildcats improve to 12-1-1 and 5-1-1 in conference play.
Wilmington took the early lead with three first half goals with the third one coming in the 42nd minute of play.
Caldwell got on the board early in the second half as junior
Mattia Cella (Rapallo, Italy) scored off a free kick just outside the box in the 56th minute.
The Wildcats added a goal in the 65th minute but the Cougars tacked on a goal in the 72nd minute. Senior
Luca Cacciottolo (Boonton, N.J.) netted his first goal of the season off an assist from freshman

Wilmington added a goal five minutes later for the final tally of the game.
