BRONXVILLE, N.Y.- The Caldwell University men's soccer team defeated Concordia College 4-2 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest.
The Cougars improve to 3-10-0 overall and 3-6-0 in the CACC, while the Clippers drop to 6-6-0 and 5-4-0 in conference play.
Caldwell took the early lead as junior
Alessandro Canino (Parma, Italy) tallied the first goal of the day off an assist from freshman
Brian Balcazar (Newark, N.J.).
Senior
Erlend Aase (Bergen, Norway) added to the Cougars lead just before halftime off an assist from junior
Sander Golmen (Lier, Norway). Aase netted his second goal of the game in the 69th minute off an assist from Canino to push the score to 3-0.
The Clippers closed the gap late in the second half with a pair of goals to cut the score to 3-2 with 15 minutes left in the game.
Junior
Mateo Cobos (Newark, N.J.) added an insurance goal for Caldwell in the final minute of the game for final tally of the day.

Nils Svere (Lier, Norway) posted three saves in the win.
The Cougars host Molloy College in a non-conference match on Saturday, October 26 at noon at Caldwell Field.
