WILMINGTON, Del.- The Caldwell University women's tennis team fell to conference leader Goldey-Beacom College 6-1 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match.
The Cougars fall to 1-7 overall and 1-6 in the CACC, while the Lightning remain unbeaten at 7-0 overall and in conference play.
Senior
Janis Jimenez (Shrub Oak, N.Y.) fell at #1 singles 6-1, 6-1, while sophomore
Kiana Wiggins (Washington, N.J.) won her match at #2 singles.
Sophomore
Anne Ilardi (Oak Ridge, N.J.) lost at #3 singles 6-0, 6-0, while sophomore
Lauryn Schwint (Sparta, N.J.) fell at #4 singles 6-0, 6-0. Freshman
Kathryn Hurlbut (La Habra, Calif.) lost at #5 singles 6-0, 6-1.
Jimenez and Ilardi lost #1 doubles 6-0 but Wiggins and Schwint fell at #2 doubles 6-0.
The Cougars host Wilmington University for a CACC match on Tuesday, October 15 at 3 pm.
