CALDWELL, N.J.- The Caldwell University women's tennis team lost to Dominican College 6-1 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match.
The Cougars fall to 1-6 overall and 1-5 in the CACC, while the Chargers improve to 3-7 and 2-5 in conference play.
Senior
Janis Jimenez (Shrub Oak, N.Y.) came up short at #1 singles 6-2, 6-1, while sophomore
Kiana Wiggins (Washington, N.J.) fell at #2 singles 6-2, 6-2.
Sophomore
Anne Ilardi (Oak Ridge, N.J.) lost at #3 singles 6-4, 6-2, while sophomore
Lauryn Schwint (Sparta, N.J.) posted a 6-1, 4-6, 10-3 win at #4 singles. Freshman
Kathryn Hurlbut (La Habra, Calif.) battled at #5 singles but fell 7-5, 1-6, 2-6.
Jimenez and Ilardi won #1 doubles 7-5 but Wiggins and Schwint lost at #2 doubles 6-2.
The Cougars travel to Goldey-Beacom College for a CACC match on Saturday, October 12 at 12 pm.
