CALDWELL, N.J.- The Caldwell University women's volleyball team swept past Bloomfield College 3-0 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest.
The Cougars improve to 7-12 overall and 5-2 in the CACC, while the Bears drop to 8-5 and 5-2 in conference play.
Caldwell won the match in three straight sets 25-12, 25-16 and 25-17.
Sophomore
Elise Smith (O'Fallon, Ill.) led the way with 11 kills, six digs and two blocks. Junior
Chloe Kissner (Seabrook, Texas) netted eight kills and two blocks, while junior
Marina Schlaepfer (Aurora, Colo.) added seven kills, two aces and six digs.
Freshman
Cassandra Rother (Fresno, Calif.) totaled four kills, five aces and three blocks, while sophomore
Humiko Stormer (Luckey, Ohio) posted 12 digs.
Sophomore
Samantha Ashton (Colonia, N.J.) finished with 28 assists and six digs.
The Cougars host Georgian Court University in a CACC contest on Saturday, October 12 at 4:30 pm.
