WILMINGTON, Del.- The Caldwell University women's soccer team lost their first conference game of the season as they came up short 2-1 to Goldey-Beacom College in in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference action.
The Cougars fall to 6-3-0 overall and 5-1-0 in the CACC, while the Lightning improve to 9-2-0 and 6-0-0 in conference play.
Goldey-Beacom got on the board late in the first half as they took a 1-0 lead into halftime.
Caldwell answered midway through the second half as junior
Meghan Grundhauser (Easton, Pa.) scored in the 64th minute off an assist from sophomore
Teaghan Darling (Forked River, N.J.).
The Lightning took the lead in the 73rd minute to push ahead 2-1. The Cougars has four shots in the final 17 minutes but fell short of netting the equalizer.

Jamie-Lee Bamford (Braintree, United Kingdom) tallied three save for the Cougars.
The Cougars host Concordia College on Tuesday, October 2 in a CACC clash at 4 pm at Caldwell Field.
