CALDWELL, N.J.- Caldwell University women's volleyball freshman
Elise Smith (O'Fallon, Ill.) set a career-high 24 kills as the Cougars defeated Concordia College 3-0 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play.
The Cougars improve to 6-11 overall and 5-3 in the CACC, while the Clippers drop to 0-10 and 0-8 in conference play.
Caldwell won the match in three sets, 25-16, 25-16 and 25-20.
Smith totaled 24 kills and three blocks, while freshman
Olivia Bellamy (Davison, Mich.) posted nine kills and five blocks. Junior
Katie Compagno (Orland Park, Ill.) chipped in seven kills and three blocks in the win.
Sophomore
Alejandra Leal Montes (Gurabo, Puerto Rico) led the Cougars with nine digs and three aces, while freshman
Humiko Stormer (Luckey, Ohio) finished with eight digs and two aces. Freshman
Samantha Ashton (Colonia, N.J.) tallied 40 assists along with four digs and two blocks.
The Cougars travel to the University of the Sciences for a CACC contest on Saturday, September 29 at noon.
