BLOOMFIELD, N.J.- Caldwell University women's soccer senior
Samantha Pereira (Union, N.J.) drove in a corner kick late in the second half to lift the Cougars to a 1-0 victory over Bloomfield College in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference action.
The Cougars improve to 6-2-0 overall and 5-0-0 in the CACC, while the Bears fall to 1-7-1 and 0-4-1 in conference play.
The teams battled through a scoreless first half as the Cougars outshot the Bears 11-4. Caldwell also has six corner kicks in the first half.
The game remained tied late into the second half as the Cougars got their eighth corner kick of the game. Pereira knocked in the game-winner on her corner kick to put the Cougars in the lead with just over 10 minutes left in the game.

Jamie-Lee Bamford (Braintree, United Kingdom) tallied five save for the Cougars.
The Cougars travel to Goldey-Beacom College on Saturday, September 29 in a key CACC contest at 1:00 pm.
