CALDWELL, N.J.- Caldwell University women's soccer junior
Meghan Grundhauser (Easton, Pa.) scored a pair of second half goals to help lead the Cougars to a 3-0 victory over Chestnut Hill College in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play.
The Cougars improve to 5-2-0 overall and 4-0-0 in the CACC, while the Griffins drop to 2-5-0 and 1-4-0 in conference play.
Caldwell got on the board late in the first half as senior
Carlyn Salus (Pompton Lakes, N.J.) scored off a defensive deflection to give the Cougars a 1-0 halftime lead.
The Cougars added a pair of goals early in the second half to push their lead to 3-0. Salus and senior
Amanda Wroblewski (North Babylon, N.Y.) assisted on Grundhauser's first goal in the 55th minute.
Just over two minutes later, sophomore
Jordan Madrid (Cherry Hill, N.J.) chipped the ball to Grundhauser for her second goal of the day.
Freshman
Jamie-Lee Bamford (Braintree, United Kingdom) posted two saves in the game.
The Cougars travel to Bloomfield College on Wednesday, September 26 for a CACC clash at 7 pm.
