FAIRMONT, W.V.- Caldwell University women's soccer sophomore
Faith D'Angelis (Holtsville, N.Y.) netted a pair of second half goals to help the Cougars defeat Fairmont St. University to earn their first victory of the 2018 season.
The Cougars even their record at 1-1, while the Fighting Falcons drop to 1-1.
Caldwell got on the board early in the game as senior

The Cougars added a pair of goals in the second half powered by a pair from D'Angelis. The sophomore forward netted her first goal of the season in the 69th minute of an assist from senior
Carlyn Salus (Pompton Lakes, N.J.). D'Angelis posted her second goal of the game three minutes later off an assist from sophomore
Teaghan Darling (Forked River, N.J.).
Fairmont St. battled back as they netted two goals in the final five minutes to close the gap to one goal. Caldwell held off the late rally to post their first win of the season.
Freshman
Jamie-Lee Bamford (Braintree, United Kingdom) posted three saves to earn her first collegiate victory.
Caldwell return to the pitch on Wednesday, September 5 as they travel to The College of Saint Rose for a 6 pm non-conference match.
