BLOOMFIELD, N.J.- The Caldwell University women's volleyball team cruised past Bloomfield College 3-0 to stay unbeaten in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play and retain control of the top spot in the North Division.
The Cougars improve to 4-8 overall and 3-0 in the CACC, while the Bears drop to 0-12 and 0-2 in conference play.
Freshman
Elise Smith (O'Fallon, Ill.) tallied a match-high 16 kills along with four aces. Sophomore
Marina Schlaepfer (Aurora Colo.) chipped in 11 kill, two aces, two blocks and 11 digs.
Junior
Katie Compagno (Orland Park, Ill.) posted three kills and two blocks, while freshman
Humiko Stormer (Luckey, Ohio) netted 18 digs. Freshman
Samantha Ashton (Colonia, N.J.) led the Cougars with 17 assists along with seven digs, while senior
Jordan Hoffman (Colorado Springs, Colo.) finished with 12 assists.
The Cougars host Chestnut Hill College on Saturday, September 15 at 4:30 pm at the Newman Center.
