NORTH ANDOVER, Mass.- The Caldwell University men's soccer team fell in their season opener 1-0 to #22 Merrimack College. The Cougars open the season at 0-1, while the Warriors start 2018 at 1-0.
 
The Warriors got on the board in the late in the first half on a penalty kick. Merrimack outshot Caldwell 21-8 for the game.
 
Senior Tom Yorston (Northamptonshire, United Kingdom) netted two shots for the Cougars. Sophomore Nils Svere (Lier, Norway) recorded seven saves.
 
Caldwell wraps up play at the Merrimack Tournament as they take on Bentley University on Sunday, September 2 at noon.
