CALDWELL, N.J.- Caldwell University baseball senior
Justin Jeannette (East Hanover, N.J.) drove in a pair of runs as the Cougars came up short in a non-conference twin bill to the University of New Haven. Caldwell fell in the opener 7-3 and lost the nightcap 7-0.

The Cougars fall to 6-32, while the Chargers improve to 27-6.

New Haven took the lead with four runs in the opening inning. Caldwell battled back with a pair of runs in the bottom of the inning. Senior
Paul Marinello (Freehold, N.J.) drew a leadoff walk and advanced to third on a double by senior
Michael Bernstein (Staten Island, N.Y.). Jeannette singled to left to score both runners.

The Cougars added a run in the fourth as junior
Mason Marino (Brooklyn, N.Y.) drew a leadoff walk and moved to third on two groundouts. Senior
Rob DeSanti (Barnegat, N.J) singled to score Marino.

Caldwell was limited to six hits in the nightcap as freshman
Anthony Parente (Jackson, N.J.) went 2-for-3 with a double.
