ST. LEO, Fla.- The Caldwell University softball team lost a doubleheader to #10 Saint Leo University as the Cougars continue their Florida trip. The Cougars fell 5-0 in the opener and lost the night cap 8-0 in six innings.

The Cougars fall to 2-6 on the season, while the Saints improve to 22-7.

Caldwell was limited to two hits in the first game of the doubleheader. Senior
Kiahna Silva (Etiwanda, Calif.) and freshman
Kaileen Cain (Hauppauge, N.Y) posted singles in the game to account for the Cougar hits.

Sophomore
Sara Bearden (Ewing, N.J.) tossed a complete game, allowing five runs on nine hits to fall to 1-2 on the season.

The Cougars were held to three hits in game two as junior
Carly Testa (Sicklerville, N.J.), Cain and sophomore
Kelle Lalier (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) each recorded hits in the nightcap.

Jessie Johnston (Livermore, Calif.) tossed 5 1/3 innings, allowing eight runs (four earned) on 12 hits and registered three strikeouts. Â

The Cougars travel to Florida Tech on Wednesday, March 14 for a doubleheader starting at 12 pm. Â
