FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.- Caldwell University men's basketball freshman 
Anthony Cooper (Ashburn, Va.) netted a career-high 17 points as the Cougars fell to #9 Nova Southeastern University 106-72 in the second game of their road trip through the Sunshine State.
 
The Cougars fall to 5-5, while the nationally ranked Sharks improve to 8-0.
 
The Sharks jumped out to a 17-5 lead over the first seven minutes of the game. Caldwell sliced the score down to 10 points at 19-9 following a bucket by junior 
Ruud Lutterman (Dalem, Netherlands). Nova Southeastern maintained their lead on their way to a 57-38 halftime advantage.
 
Cooper opened the second half with a triple to trim the score to 57-41. The Sharks scored the next 11 points and held a double-digit lead the rest of the way.
 
Cooper shot 2-for-3 from downtown and 6-for-11 from the field as he tallied a career-best 17 points, five rebounds and three assists. Junior 
AJ Kittles (Glassboro, N.J.) totaled 15 points, and eight rebounds, while junior 
Ned Ogoemesim (Westampton, N.J.) finished with eight points. Sophomore 
Manley Dorme (Nanuet, N.Y.) posted a game-high 11 boards along with eight points.
 
The Cougars wrap up their Florida trip as they travel to #15 Lynn University on Wednesday, December 19 at 7:00 pm.
