CALDWELL, N.J.- Caldwell University women's volleyball freshman
Elise Smith (O'Fallon, Ill.) posted 11 kills as the Cougars defeated Felician University 3-0 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play.
The Cougars improve to 8-14 overall and 7-5 in the CACC, while the Golden Falcons drop to 5-14 and 4-8 in conference play.
Caldwell won the match in three sets, 25-20, 25-16 and 25-19.
Smith led the way with 11 kills, two aces and five digs, while sophomore
Chloe Kissner (Seabrook, Texas) chipped in eight kills and three blocks. Freshman
Demetria Gary (Savannah, Ga.) recorded five kills and two blocks, while junior
Katie Compagno (Orland Park, Ill.) finished with four kills, two aces and three blocks.
Freshman
Madison Day (Rockledge, Fla.) totaled three kills, two blocks and six digs, while sophomore
Alejandra Leal Montes (Gurabo, Puerto Rico) tallied six aces and five digs. Freshman
Samantha Ashton (Colonia, N.J.) finished with 22 assists along with five digs.
The Cougars travel to the Dominican College for a CACC contest on Saturday, October 13 at noon.
