CALDWELL, N.J.- Caldwell University women's volleyball freshman
Elise Smith (O'Fallon, Ill.) netted 13 kills as the Cougars fell to American International College 3-1 in a non-conference match,
The Cougars fall to 7-13 overall, while the Yellow Jackets improve to 11-8.
Caldwell took the opening set 25-20. The Yellow Jackets battled back to win the next three sets 25-15, 25-22 ad 25-12.
Smith led the way with 12 kills and four digs, while sophomore
Chloe Kissner (Seabrook, Texas) totaled 10 kills and three digs. Freshman
Demetria Gary (Savannah, Ga.) chipped in five kills and two blocks, while junior
Katie Compagno (Orland Park, Ill.) added three kills and two blocks.

Samantha Ashton (Colonia, N.J.) tallied 14 assists and four digs, while freshman
Sophie Hicks (Christchurch, New Zealand) finished with 14 assists and nine digs. Freshman
Humiko Stormer (Luckey, Ohio) posted eight digs, while sophomore
Alejandra Leal Montes (Gurabo, Puerto Rico) recorded eight digs and two aces.
The Cougars travel to Goldey-Beacom College for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match on Saturday, October 6 at noon.
