CALDWELL, N.J.- The Caldwell University men's soccer team came up short to Concordia College 3-2 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest.
The Cougars fall to 4-6-1 overall and 4-2-1 in the CACC, while the Clippers fall to 4-4-1 and 4-3-0 in conference play.
Caldwell took the early lead as sophomore
Sander Golmen (Lier, Norway) netted the first goal of the game off an assist from sophomore
Alessandro Canino (Parma, Italy). Concordia pulled even in the 40th minute to tie the game at 1-1 at halftime.
The Clippers pulled ahead in the 47th minute to take a 2-1 lead. Caldwell scored the equalizer in the 62nd minute to knot the score at 2-2. Sophomore
Kevin Avila (Newark, N.J.) scored his second goal of the season off a pass from junior
Erlend Aase (Bergen, Norway).
The teams battled towards the end of regulation as Concordia scored the go-ahead goal with 1:15 left in the game.

The Cougars travel to Jefferson for a CACC contest on Saturday, October 6 at 2:30 pm.
