PHILADELPHIA, Pa.- The Caldwell University men's soccer team came up short 3-2 in overtime to Jefferson in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest.
The Cougars fall to 4-7-1 overall and 4-3-1 in the CACC, while the Rams improve to 6-4-1 and 5-2-1 in conference play.
The teams battled through a mostly scoreless first half before each team netted a goal just before halftime. The Rams took the early lead with a goal in the 42
nd minute of play. Caldwell tied the game just over a minute later on a penalty kick by sophomore
Mattia Cella (Zoagli, Italy).
The Cougars pushed ahead early in the second half as junior
Erlend Aase (Bergen, Norway) put Caldwell up 2-1 off an assist from sophomore
Sander Golmen (Lier, Belgium).
Jefferson netted the equalizer in the 78
th minute and the game remained tied through the end of regulation. In the first overtime, the Rams netted the game-winner in the sixth minute.

Nils Svere (Lier, Norway) finished with three saves in the game.
The Cougars host Nyack College on Tuesday, October 9 for a CACC contest at 4 pm at Caldwell Field.
