CALDWELL, N.J.- The Caldwell University women's volleyball team defeated Post University 3-1 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play. The Cougars move into second place in the North Division with the win.
The Cougars improve to 11-16 overall and 10-7 in the CACC, while the Eagles drop to 14-13 and 11-5 in conference play.
The Eagles took the opening set 25-22 but the Cougars won the next three sets 25-21, 25-23 and 25-19.
Freshman
Elise Smith (O'Fallon, Ill.) led the way with 19 kills and six digs, while sophomore
Chloe Kissner (Seabrook, Texas) posted 14 kills and three blocks. Sophomore
Marina Schlaepfer (Aurora, Colo.) netted eight kills and three blocks, while freshman
Demetria Gary (Savannah, Ga.) totaled six kills and six blocks.
Freshman
Samantha Ashton (Colonia, N.J.) posted 30 assists and six digs, while freshman
Lisbeth Suarez (Bogota, N.J.) chipped in seven digs and two aces. Freshman
Humiko Stormer (Luckey, Ohio) led the Cougars with 16 digs.
The Cougars host Queens College in a non-conference clash on Tuesday, October 30 at 7 pm.
