PHILADELPHIA, Pa.- The Caldwell University women's soccer team fell to Holy Family University 3-2 in their final Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest of the season.
The Cougars have clinched a spot in the postseason and will await the final slate of conference games next week to determine the final standings and tournament matchups.
The Cougars fall to 9-5-1 overall and 8-3-1 in the CACC, while the Tigers improve to 11-3-1 and 8-2-1 in conference play.
Each team got on the scoreboard in the first with the Tigers striking first with a goal in the 22nd minute.
Junior
Meghan Grundhauser (Easton, Pa.) scored in the 35th minute to tie the game heading into halftime.
Sophomore
Jordan Madrid (Cherry Hill, N.J.) put the Cougars in the lead with a goal early in the second half.
Holy Family netted the equalizer in the 54th minute of play to even the score at 2-2. The Tigers took the lead six minutes later on a penalty kick.
Freshman
Jamie-Lee Bamford (Braintree, United Kingdom) totaled six saves for the Cougars.
The Cougars end the regular season on the road as they travel to NYIT on Thursday, October 25 for a non-conference game at 3:30 pm.
