Drogsler Posts Double-Double as Women’s Basketball Downs Post

CALDWELL, N.J.- Caldwell University women's basketball senior Kristen Drogsler (Middle Village, N.Y.) posted a double-double as the Cougars defeated Post University 76-43 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play. 
 
The Cougars stretch their win streak to seven as they improve to 12-2 overall and remain unbeaten at 5-0 in the CACC. The Eagles drop to 2-9 and 1-4 in conference play.
 
Caldwell took the lead in the first minute of the game as they led 9-4 midway through the opening quarter. Junior Andie Lennon (Secaucus, N.J.) and sophomore Tina Lebron (Manalapan, N.J.) each drained triples to help the Cougars build an early lead. Drogsler connected on a pair of free throws late in the quarter to put Caldwell up 22-12.
 
The Cougars pulled away in the second quarter as they outscored the Eagles 17-7. Lennon and Drogsler connected on three-pointers early in the second quarter to help Caldwell push their lead into double digits.
 
Caldwell led 39-19 at halftime behind 10 points from Lennon and nine points and nine rebounds by Drogsler.
 
The Cougars outscored Post in all four quarters as they held their double-digit advantage into the second half.
 
Drogsler led the way with 15 points, 12 rebounds, four assists and two steals. Lennon totaled 12 points, three boards, four assists and two steals. Senior Karlie O'Driscoll (Sharon, Mass.) posted 12 points, four rebounds and two steals. Senior Maura Kelty (Barrington, R.I.) chipped in 11 points, four rebounds and two steals, while Lebron contributed nine points and three assists.
 
The Cougars travel to Dominican College on Saturday, January 6 for a CACC clash at 1 pm.
