BRONXVILLE, N.Y.- Caldwell University women's basketball senior
Kristen Drogsler (Middle Village, NY) netted a game-high 23 points to lead the Cougars past Concordia College 82-56 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest.
The Cougars improve to 15-3 on the season and 8-1 in the CACC, while the Clippers drop to 2-16 overall and 2-7 in conference play.
Caldwell took control of the game from the opening tip as Drogsler netted the first basket of the game. She added seven points in the quarter as the Cougars pulled ahead 21-10.
The Cougars continued their solid play into the second quarter as they extended their lead to 42-21 late in the quarter. Senior
Maura Kelty (Barrington, R.I.) drained a triple in the quarter, while senior
Karlie O'Driscoll (Sharon, Mass.) added eight points. Caldwell held a 44-24 lead at halftime.
Drogsler shot 4-for-7 from downtown as she finished with 23 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals. O'Driscoll totaled 20 points and five boards, while sophomore
Tina Lebron (Manalapan. N.J.) posted 13 points, three rebounds and two steals. Senior
Sharell Sanders (Dorchester, Mass.) tallied six points, seven assists and three steals. Junior
Andie Lennon (Secaucus, N.J.) dished out six assists, while junior
Kristen Siscamanis (Winthrop, Mass.) chipped in 13 points.
The Cougars host Goldey-Beacom College in a CACC game on Sunday, January 21 at 3 pm.
