ORANGEBURG, N.Y.- The Caldwell University women's soccer team evened their record as they defeated Dominican College 2-0 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play.
 
The Cougars improve to 3-3 overall and 2-1 in the CACC, while the Chargers fall to 0-6 and 0-4 in conference play.
 
Caldwell tallied both of their goals in the opening half to take the lead. Sophomore Meghan Grundhauser (Easton, Pa.) scored in the 11th minute of play off an assist from senior Shelagh Kerrisk (Keansburg, N.J.).
 
The Cougars added their second goal of the game in the 33rd minute. Freshman Macie Pennington (Townsend, Del.) tallied her first collegiate goal off an assist from freshman Teaghan Darling (Forked Rivers, N.J.)
 
Caldwell held the first half edge in shots 11-1, while Dominican outshot the Cougars in the second half 10-7.  
 
Sophomore Daniela Lucca (Pompton Lakes, N.J.) posted her third shutout of the season as she recorded eight saves in the victory.  
 
The Cougars host Holy Family University on Saturday, September 23 at 11 am at Caldwell Field.
