WILMINGTON Del.- The Caldwell University women's tennis team fell 9-0 to Goldey-Beacom College in their first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match of the season.
 
The Cougars fall to 2-2 and 0-1 in the CACC, while the Lightning improve to 3-0 and 2-0 in conference play.
 
In singles play, senior Valeria Otarola (Lima, Peru) fell at the top spot 6-2, 6-1. Otarola and senior Rebecca Ryan (Berkeley Heights, N.J) lost at #1 doubles 8-1. Sophomore Janis Jimenez (Shrub Oak, N.Y.) and Shannon Donaldson (Bonita Springs, Fla.) came up short at #2 doubles 8-2.  
 
The Cougars travel to Holy Family University for a CACC match on Tuesday, September 19 at 3 pm.
