CALDWELL, N.J.- The Caldwell University women's volleyball team remained unbeaten in 2017 as they defeated Felician University 3-0 in their conference and home opener.
The Cougars improve to 5-0 and 1-0 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference, while the Golden Falcons fall to 0-4 and 0-1 in the CACC.
Caldwell trailed early in the first two sets but rallied back to win the match 25-13, 25-20 and 25-13.
Senior
Katrina Janssen (Seville, Australia) tallied 10 kills and nine digs to lead the Cougars. Senior
Taryn Auyong (Honolulu, Hawaii) chipped in 10 kills and seven digs, while sophomore
Avery Stanechewski (Tampa, Fla.) totaled 10 kills and three total blocks (two solo).
Junior
Jordan Hoffman (Colorado Springs, Colo.) posted a match-high 34 assists, while freshman
Chloe Kissner (Seabrook, Texas) finished with eight kills and three blocks. Senior
Jessica Mitchell (Plainfield, Ill.) netted a team-high 10 digs.
The Cougars open the Kutztown University Tournament on Friday, September 15 as they take on West Chester University at 5 pm.
