CALDWELL, N.J.- The Caldwell University women's tennis team lost their first match of the season with a 7-2 loss to St. Thomas Aquinas College.
 
The Cougars fall to 1-1, while the Spartans improve to 1-0.
 
Caldwell fell in all six singles matches as senior Valeria Otarola (Lima, Peru) came up shot at the #1 spot 6-3, 6-1.
 
The Cougars took two doubles matches as Otarola and senior Rebecca Ryan (Berkeley Heights, N.J) took the top spot 8-6. Sophomore Janis Jimenez (Shrub Oak, N.Y.) and senior Shannon Donaldson (Bonita Springs, Fla.) won at #2 doubles 8-5.
 
The Cougars travel to Molloy College on Thursday, September 14 for a 3 pm match.
