NORTH ANDOVER, Mass.- The Caldwell University men's soccer team fell in their season opener 2-0 to #25 Merrimack College. The Cougars open the season at 0-1, while the Warriors start 2017 at 1-0.
The Warriors got on the board in the tenth minute as they netted the first goal of the game. Merrimack added to their lead with goal late in the half to take a 2-0 lead into halftime.
Merrimack held the edge in shots 8-2 in the first half and 12-7 for the game.

Tom Yorston (Northamptonshire, United Kingdom) finished the game with two shots for the Cougars. Senior
Fritz Meister (Flaach, Switzerland) recorded four saves in net.
Caldwell wraps up play at the Merrimack Tournament as they take on Bentley University on Sunday, September 3 at noon.
