POMONA, N.Y.- The Caldwell University baseball team outlasted Dominican College 3-2 in 13 innings in a non-conference game.

The Cougars improve to 11-20 overall, while the Chargers fall to 13-21.

Dominican got on the board in the fifth inning as they scored a pair of runs. Caldwell pushed a run across in the sixth as junior
Kevin Goldman (Valley Stream, N.Y.) singled with one out.
Freshman
Jack Zosulis (East Windsor, N.J.) doubled down the to put runners at second and third. Junior
Justin Jeannette (East Hanover, N.J.) grounded out to score Goldman.

The Cougars tied the game in the eighth inning as freshman
Chris Herrera (Passaic, N.J.) ripped a leadoff double down the left field line. Herrera moved to third on a wild pitch and scored on a sacrifice fly by Goldman to tie it up at 2-2.

The game headed to extra inning as Caldwell took the lead in the 13th. Goldman lead off the inning with a single and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt. Jeannette was hit by a pitch to put runners at first and second. Sophomore
Mason Marino (Brooklyn, N.Y.) ripped a single to left as the Cougars took a 3-2 lead.

Zach Endersby (Caldwell, N.J.) started as he tossed 4 2/3 innings, allowing two runs on four hits, while striking out three. Freshman
Nick Cerbone (Bayonne, N.J.) pitched 2 1/3 innings, allowing one hit and registered three strikeouts. Freshman
Jason Salva (West Haverstraw, N.Y.) earned the win in relief to improve to 1-2 as he pitched six scoreless innings, allowing two hits and struck out five.
