CALDWELL, N.J.- The Caldwell University baseball team rallied in the ninth inning for a 4-3 game one victory but came up short in the nightcap 6-3 to Dominican College.

The Cougars move to 5-10 on the season and 2-4 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference. The Chargers stand at 7-10 and 2-2 in conference play.

Dominican took the early lead with two runs in the opening inning and added one in the sixth for a 3-0 lead.

Caldwell rallied in the final two innings. The Cougars loaded the bases with one out in the eighth inning. Junior
Justin Jeannette (East Hanover, N.J.) hit a sacrifice fly to drive in the first Caldwell run.

In the ninth, junior
Daniel Gregor (Monroe, N.J.) singled with one out. Senior
Ryan Rivera (Saddle Brook, N.J.) was hit by a pitch to put runners at first and second. Senior
Michael Bernstein (Staten Island, N.Y.) drove in Gregor with a single to cut the score to 3-2. Freshman
Jack Zosulis (East Windsor, N.J.) ripped a game-winning walk-off double to lift the Cougars to a thrilling 4-3 victory.

The Chargers took a 6-0 lead in the nightcap that featured a four-run sixth inning. Caldwell plated three runs in the sixth as junior
Paul Marinello (Freehold, N.J.) led off with a single. Rivera singled and moved to second, while Marinello scored on an error. Rivera came around to score on an error, while junior
Kevin Goldman (Valley Stream, N.Y.) singled home Zosulis for the third run of the game.
