BRIDGEPORT, Conn.- Caldwell University women's lacrosse freshman
Arden Kassaleh (Pompton Plains, N.J.) netted four points as the Cougars fell to the University of Bridgeport 15-7 in non-conference action.
The Cougars fall to 2-3 on the season, while the Purple Knights improve to 6-1.
The teams traded goals over the first half as Kassaleh and junior
Pamela Schenck (East Moriches, N.Y.) each netted scores for Caldwell. The Purple Knights scored midway through the half as they took a 3-2 lead into halftime.
Kassaleh scored early in the second half to tie the score at 3-3. Bridgeport answered to go back in front but Caldwell pulled even. Schenck scored at the 24:06 mark to knot the score at 4-4.
The Purple Knights pushed ahead with seven unanswered goals to go up 11-4 midway through the second half. Kassaleh netted her third of the game with 12:32 left in the game but Bridgeport answered less than a minute later.

Maryellen McCarthy (Levittown, N.Y.) and sophomore
Rachel Lucia (Egg Harbor Township, N.J.) added late goals for the Cougars but it was not enough as they fell short.

Elizabeth Ruedemann (Monmouth Junction, N.J.) registered 15 saves in the loss for Caldwell.
The Cougars travel to Mercy College for a non-conference game against the Mavericks on Monday, March 27 at 4 pm.
