NYACK, N.Y.- Caldwell University women's basketball sophomore
Tina Lebron (Manalapan, N.J.) dropped in a career-high 23 points as the Cougars defeated Nyack College 80-60 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play.
The Cougars win their sixth in a row to improve to 12-2 overall and 4-0 in the CACC, while the Warriors drop to 2-12 and 2-3 in conference play.
Caldwell took control of the game in the opening quarter as they shot 73.3% from the field in the first 10 minutes. Lebron drained a pair from downtown, while senior
Maura Kelty (Barrington, R.I.) added eight points. Kelty shot 4-for-4 in the quarter as the Cougars led 25-17 after the first quarter.
Nyack closed the gap to four points late in the second quarter at 34-30. The Cougars finished the first half with a 9-2 run as they held a double-digit lead at halftime. Lebron drained a triple, while Kelty and senior
Sharell Sanders (Dorchester, Mass.) each hit a pair from the line. Junior
Kristen Siscamanis (Winthrop, Mass.) connected on a jumper just before the half as Caldwell held a 43-32 lead at the break.
Lebron drained four second half three-pointers to help the Cougars build a double-digit lead into the fourth quarter. Caldwell closes out the 2017 half of their schedule on a six game-winning streak and maintain their hold on top spot in the North Division.
Lebron shot 7-for-11 from downtown as she finished with 23 points along with three assists. Kelty chipped in 19 points, six rebounds and three steals, while Siscamanis added 17 points, eight boards and two steals. Sanders tallied nine points, four rebounds, five assists and three steals. Senior

Andie Lennon (Secaucus, N.J.) posted seven assists.
