RUTHERFORD, N.J.- The Caldwell University women's volleyball team defeated Felician University 3-0 to secure the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference North Division Title. The Cougars win their seventh North Division Title and their first since the 2014 season.
The Cougars improve to 21-7 overall and 15-3 in the CACC, while the Golden Falcons fall to 4-21 and 2-16 in conference play.
Caldwell controlled the play in all three sets as they won 25-17, 25-19 and 25-17.
Senior
Taryn Auyong (Honolulu, Hawaii) led the way with 16 kills, two aces and eight digs, while senior
Katrina Janssen (Seville, Australia) chipped in 14 kills, 14 digs and two aces.
Sophomore
Avery Stanechewski (Tampa, Fla.) posted six kills, while sophomore
Kathleen Compagno (Orland Park, Ill.) totaled three kills, two aces and three blocks.
Freshman
Peyton Elizondo (Alvin, Texas) recorded three kills and three blocks, while senior
Jessica Mitchell (Plainfield, Ill.) totaled 24 digs. Junior
Alyssa Ayala (Wantagh, N.Y.) led the Cougars with 17 assists along with two aces and four digs, while senior
Gabrielle Bennett (San Antonio, Texas) finished with 16 assists and five digs.
The Cougars end the regular season on Saturday, November 11 as they host Goldey-Beacom College at noon for Senior Day. Caldwell will host the CACC Championship Quarterfinals on Tuesday, November 14 against the #4 seed from the South Division.
