CALDWELL, N.J.- The Caldwell University women's volleyball team won their third match in a row as they defeated USciences 3-0 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match.
The Cougars improve to 13-4 overall and 8-1 in the CACC, while the Devils fall to 3-9 overall and 2-7 in conference play.
Caldwell won the opening two sets 25-9 and 25-11. The Cougars trailed early in the third set but went on to win 25-18.
Senior
Katrina Janssen (Seville, Australia) led the way with 14 kills, five digs and four aces, while senior
Taryn Auyong (Honolulu, Hawaii) totaled four kills and two aces. Freshman
Chloe Kissner (Seabrook, Texas) tallied eight kills, three total blocks (one solo) and three digs.
Sophomore
Kathleen Compagno (Orland Park, Ill.) totaled three kills and three blocks, while sophomore
Avery Stanechewski (Tampa, Fla.) posted five kills and two digs. Senior
Gabrielle Bennett (San Antonio, Texas) chipped in 20 assists, four aces, and four digs, while junior
Jordan Hoffman (Colorado Springs, Colo.) tallied three kills and 11 assists. Senior
Jessica Mitchell (Plainfield, Ill.) finished with 16 digs.
The Cougars host Bloomfield College on Wednesday, October 11 in a CACC match at 7 pm at the Newman Center. Wednesday's match will be the team's annual Pink Game as Caldwell Athletics will raise money for the National Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation.
