CALDWELL, N.J.- The Caldwell University women's soccer team came up short to Georgian Court University 4-2 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match-up.
The Cougars fall to 5-7-0 overall and 4-4-0 in the CACC, while the Lions improve to 9-3-2 and 8-0-0 in conference play.
The Lions scored a pair of early goals in the 12th minute and one in the 17th minute to take a 2-0 lead. Caldwell answered in the 27th minute to close to gap. Junior

Meghan Grundhauser (Easton, Pa.).
Georgian Court added one before halftime in the 36th minute as the Lions led 3-1 at the break.
The Lions extended their lead in the 70th minute to take a 4-1 lead. Freshman
Macie Pennington (Townsend, Del.) added to Caldwell's goal tally as she dribbled down the sideline into box and found the back of the net to cut the score to 4-2.
Caldwell held the shot advantage 11-7 with each teams taking five shots on goal.
Sophomore
Daniela Lucca (Pompton Lakes, N.J.) totaled one save in the game.
The Cougars host Bloomfield College in a CACC clash on Tuesday, October 10 at 4 pm at Caldwell Field.
