CALDWELL, N.J.- The Caldwell University women's tennis team fell to Jefferson 9-0 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play.
 
The Cougars fall to 3-6 overall and 1-5 in the CACC, while the Rams improve to 5-4 and 1-3 in conference play.
 
Senior Valeria Otarola (Lima, Peru) came up short ay #1 singles 6-4, 6-3, while senior Rebecca Ryan (Berkeley Heights, N.J) fell at #2 singles 7-5, 6-2. Sophomore Janis Jimenez (Shrub Oak, N.Y.) lost at #3 singles 7-5, 7-5.
 
In doubles play, Otarola and Ryan lost at the top spot 8-2.
 
The Cougars host Wilmington University on Thursday, October 5 for a CACC match at 3:00 pm.
