WEST CALDWELL, N.J.- Caldwell University sprint football freshman
Colin Williams (East Orange, N.J.) totaled nine tackles in the Cougars 45-7 loss to Franklin Pierce University in a Collegiate Sprint Football League contest on Saturday afternoon.

The Cougars fall to 1-5 on the season, while the Ravens improve to 3-3.

Franklin Pierce found the end zone three times in the first half as they led 21-0 at halftime. The Ravens added a pair of touchdowns early in the second half to extend their lead to 35-0.

Caldwell got on the board late in the third quarter. Freshman
Nysir Smith (Newark, N.J.) had a 32-yard kick return to set up the Cougar offense deep in Raven territory. Freshman
Jamaal Carr (Teaneck, N.J.) has a key 23-yard completion to freshman
Carl Watson (Newark, N.J.) on a fourth-and-13 play. Three plays later, Smith connected with
Zion Rodriguez (Hoboken, N.J.) for a 12-yard touchdown for Caldwell's lone score of the day.

Freshman
Vincent Crisafi (Clark, N.J.) tossed for 67 yards in the air, while Carr finished with 28 passing yards. Freshman
Quazier Dailey (Prospect Park, N.J.) rushed five times for 24 yards, while Smith totaled 20 yards on the ground. Watson hauled in three catches for 43 yards, while Smith totaled five receptions for 40 yards.

Williams led the defense with nine tackles, including a half sack and a blocked extra point. Freshman
Royce Francisco (Passaic, N.J.) added eight tackles along with a forced fumble. Junior
Quintin Quartararo (Lakewood, N.J.) totaled eight tackles and one pass defense.

The Cougars conclude their inaugural season as they travel to the United States Naval Academy on Friday, November 3 at 7 pm.
