CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa.- Caldwell University sprint football freshman
Zavion Stevens (Bloomfield, N.J.) found the end zone late in the game as the Cougars fell to Chestnut Hill College 49-7 in a Collegiate Sprint Football League South Division contest.

The Cougars fall to 1-4 overall and 0-3 in the CSFL South Division, while the Griffins improve to 2-3 and 2-2 in divisional play.

The Griffins took the lead early as they reached the end zone on six of their eight first half possessions. Chestnut Hill held a 42-0 lead at halftime.

Caldwell held the ball most of the third quarter as they used a long drive late in the quarter. The Cougars held the ball for almost 10 minutes on 19 plays that culminated in a touchdown early in the fourth quarter. Freshman
Quazier Dailey (Prospect Park, N.J.) turned in a key 22-yard run on a 3rd-and-12 play that put the Cougars offense into Chestnut Hill territory.

Freshman
Vincent Crisafi (Clark, N.J.) had a pair of key fourth down completions to keep their scoring drive alive. On a 4th-and-13 from the Chestnut Hill 40-yard-line, Crisafi connected with freshman
Zion Rodriguez (Hoboken, N.J.) for 20 yards. Crisafi also converted a 4th-and-25 play as he hit freshman
Jared Dockett (Bloomfield, N.J.) for 30 yards to the Chestnut five-yard-line. Two plays later, Stevens scored from three-yards out for the Cougars lone score of the game.

Crisafi finished with 71 passing yards, while Dailey posted 50 rushing yards on 20 carries. Stevens finished with 22 yards on the ground on 15 carries and one touchdown. Dockett hauled in a pair of receptions for 50 yards.

On defense, freshman
Royce Francisco (Passaic, N.J.) led the way with five tackles, including two for losses. Freshman
Nathan Harris-Norton (Lindenwood, N.J.) added five tackles with one for a loss.

The Cougars wrap up their home schedule for the 2017 season as they host Franklin Pierce University on Saturday, October 28 at 12 pm at Bonnel Field on the campus of James Caldwell High School.
