CALDWELL, N.J.- The Caldwell University women's soccer team came up short to the NYIT Bears 3-1 in a non-conference game.
The Cougars fall to 4-6-0 on the season, while the Bears improve to 5-4-0 on the season.
The Bears took the lead with a pair of first half goals. NYIT held the shot advantage in the opener half 7-4.
Freshman
Teaghan Darling (Forked Rivers, N.J.) put the Cougars on the board in the 61st minute as she scored her third goal of the season. NYIT added a goal in the 73rd minute to account for the final scoring.
Freshman
Taylor Dean (Beachwood, N.J.) made her first collegiate start in goal and recorded five saves.
The Cougars travel to Nyack College on Wednesday, October 4 for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest at 7:30 pm.
