Grundhauser, LaConde Shine as Women's Soccer Blanks Concordia

BRONXVILLE, N.Y.- Caldwell University women's soccer sophomore Meghan Grundhauser (Easton, Pa.) and junior Jessica LaConde (Huntington Beach, Calif.) each tallied a goal and an assist in the Cougars 5-0 win over Concordia College in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play. 
 
The Cougars improve to 7-8-0 and 6-4-0 in the CACC, while the Clippers drop to 2-12 and 2-8 in conference play.
 
Caldwell got on the board with an own goal in the third minute of play. LaConde added to the Cougars lead in the 11th minute off a Grundhauser assist.
 
The Cougars added another goal before halftime as junior Carlyn Salus (Pompton Lakes, N.J.) assisted on a goal from Grundhauser in the 17th minute to take a 3-0 lead into halftime.
 
Caldwell added a pair of goals in the second half as LaConde assisted on a goal from freshman Macie Pennington (Townsend, Del.) in the 47th minute. The Cougars added a goal late in the game as sophomore Racquel Chong (West Orange, N.J.) netted the final goal of the day off an assist from junior Haley Kopf (Jackson, N.J.)
 
Sophomore Daniela Lucca (Pompton Lakes, N.J.) played 90 minutes in goal and finished with one save.
 
The Cougars host Goldey-Beacom College on Saturday, October 21 in a CACC match at 1:30 pm at Caldwell Field.
