PHILADELPHIA, Pa.- The Caldwell University women's tennis team wrapped up conference play with an 8-1 loss to USciences in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play.
 
The Cougars fall to 3-8 overall and finish CACC play at 1-7. The Devils improve to 6-4 and 5-3 in conference play.
 
Senior Valeria Otarola (Lima, Peru) fell at the top singles spot 6-1, 6-2, while senior Rebecca Ryan (Berkeley Heights, N.J) came up shot at #2 singles 6-3, 6-1.
 
Sophomore Janis Jimenez (Shrub Oak, N.Y.) posted the lone win of the match as she posted a 6-4, 2-6, 10-4 victory at #3 singles.
 
In doubles play, Otarola and Ryan came up shot at #1 doubles 8-4. Jimenez and senior Shannon Donaldson (Bonita Springs, Fla.) lost at #2 doubles 8-3
 
The Cougars conclude their 2017 season as they host Daemen College in a non-conference match on Sunday, October 15 at 11 am.
