CALDWELL, N.J.- Caldwell University women's basketball junior 
Kristen Drogsler (Middle Village, N.Y.) posted a double-double as the Cougars stayed unbeaten in conference play with an 81-76 victory against Holy Family University.
 
The Cougars improve to 12-3 overall and 7-0 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference. The Tigers drop to 4-11 and 3-4 in conference play.
 
Holy Family got off to a quick start as they pulled ahead 14-8 to start the game. Caldwell finished the quarter strong as they closed out with an 11-4 run to take the lead after the first quarter. Drogsler connected on three free throws and scored on two buckets in the paint to bring the Cougars back. Junior 
Karlie O'Driscoll (Sharon, Mass.) scored with under a minute to play as Caldwell led 19-18 after the opening quarter.
 
Sophomore 
Andie Lennon (Secaucus, N.J.) drilled a triple to open the second quarter to extend the Caldwell lead to four points. The Tigers battled back to pull even at 30 late in the second quarter. The Cougars extended their lead with an 11-2 run as O'Driscoll scored four points in the rally. Drogsler drained a three-pointer as she totaled seven points to put the Cougars ahead 41-32. Holy Family connected on a basket just before the half as Caldwell led 41-34 at the break.
 
Holy Family closed the gap to two points at 43-41 early in the third quarter. Caldwell maintained their lead as they build a double-digit lead early in the fourth quarter. Senior 
Antoinette Pilla (Scarsdale, N.Y.) connected on a trifecta at the 9:05 mark of the fourth quarter to give Caldwell their largest margin of the game at 65-53.
 
The Tigers rallied back as they shot 3-for-5 from downtown in the fourth quarter to close the gap to three points with under a minute to play. Drogsler drained a pair of free throws with 11 seconds remaining in the game as the Cougars held off a late Tigers rally.
 
Drogsler posted her third double-double of the season as she tallied 26 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and two steals. She shot 8-for-9 from the free throw line in the win. O'Driscoll posted a season-high 21 points and added six rebounds. Lennon chipped in 11 points, four rebounds and two assists, while Pilla also netted 11 points. Junior 
Sharell Sanders (Dorchester, Mass.) dished out a game-high seven assists, while adding eight points.
 
The Cougars are back on the court on Tuesday, January 10 as they host Chestnut Hill College in a CACC clash at 5:30 pm at the Newman Center.
