WEST CHESTER, Pa.- Junior
Taryn Auyong (Honolulu, Hawaii) tallied a season-high 15 kills as the Caldwell University women's volleyball team fell to the West Chester University Rams 3-1. The Cougars fall to 10-6, while the Rams up their mark to 11-3.
Caldwell got off to a positive start as they took the opening set 25-22. The Rams controlled the second set, winning 25-11. West Chester edged the Cougars in set three 25-22, while taking the match 25-16 in the final set.
Auyong chipped in 12 digs and three aces along with her 15 kills, while junior
Katrina Janssen (Seville, Australia) recorded 15 kills, two blocks and seven digs.
Sophomore
Jordan Hoffman (Colorado Springs, Colo.) posted 31 assists and seven digs, while junior
Jessica Mitchell (Plainfield, Ill.) netted 22 digs and two aces. Â
The Cougars travel to Georgian Court University as part of a tri-match on Saturday, October 1. Caldwell faces the host Lions at 11 am in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match and takes on Southern Connecticut St. University at 1 pm. Â
