CALDWELL, N.J.- Junior
Katrina Janssen (Seville, Australia) totaled 14 kills but the Caldwell University volleyball team fell to the Philadelphia University Rams in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play.
The Cougars fall to 7-5 overall and 0-2 in the CACC, while the Rams up their mark to 9-3 and 2-0 in conference play.
Philadelphia took the opening set 25-22 but the Cougars bounced back to even the match with a 25-19 win in the second set. The Rams won a pair of close sets to close on the match as they took the third set 25-20 and fourth set 25-21.
Janssen finished with 14 kills and two blocks, while junior
Taryn Auyong (Honolulu, Hawaii) posted a double-double with 14 kills and 15 digs. Sophomore
Jordan Hoffman (Colorado Springs, Colo.) recorded 20 assists and 17 digs, while junior
Gabrielle Bennett (San Antonio, Texas) totaled 12 assists, 11 digs and two aces.

Melanie Krpec (Katy, Texas) chipped in four kills, 15 digs and two aces, while freshman
Kathleen Compagno (Orland Park, Ill.) netted five kills. Junior
Jessica Mitchell (Plainfield, Ill.) led the Cougars with 26 digs along with eight assists. Â
The Cougars hit the road as they travel to Nyack College on Wednesday, September 21 to take on the Warriors for a CACC match at 7 pm. Â Â
