EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa.- Junior Rebecca Ryan (Berkeley Heights, N.J.) posted win at #2 singles and #1 doubles to help lead the Caldwell University women's tennis team to a 5-4 win against East Stroudsburg University in their season opening match.

Ryan took the win at #2 singles 6-4, 6-4, while junior Shannon Donaldson (Bonita Springs, Fla.) posted a win at #4 singles 6-4, 6-4. Caldwell also won at #5 singles as junior Valeria Otarola (Lima, Peru) took her match 6-1, 6-0.

In doubles play, senior Tamara Klimek (Novi Sad, Serbia) teamed with Ryan to win at #1 doubles 8-1. Freshman Janis Jimenez (Shrub Oak, N.Y.) paired with Otarola to win at #2 doubles 8-2.

The Cougars open Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play on Wednesday, September 14 against Post University at 3 pm.
