Women’s Lacrosse Set Program Wins Record in Victory against Felician

WEST CALDWELL, N.J.- The Caldwell University Women's Lacrosse team earned their fourth win of the season eclipsing last season's program high as the Cougars defeated Felician University 19-2 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference action
 
The Cougars improve to 4-5 and 4-1 in the CACC, while the Golden Falcons drop to 0-4 and 0-3 in conference play.
 
Caldwell took control early as they netted the first three goals of the game as junior Courtney Donlon (East Brunswick, NJ) scored twice. Sophomore Pamela Schenck (East Moriches, NY) bookended a Felician goal with a pair as the Cougars led 4-1 five minutes into the game.
 
The Cougars added to their first half advantage as freshman Rachel Lucia (Egg Harbor Township, NJ) added a trio of goals, while Donlon and Schenck each scored twice. Junior Kaitlyn Coghlan (Staten Island, NY) and sophomore Emily Fey (Center Moriches, NY) closed out the scoring in the first half as the Cougars led 13-1 at the break.
 
Caldwell added to their lead in the second half as junior Amanda Timmes (Pine Bush, NJ) tallied three goals to lead the Cougars. Fey, Lucia and Donlon also scored Caldwell in the second half, while Schenck registered a pair of assists.
 
Schenck tied her program record with six points on four goals and two assists, while Donlon's five goals tied the school record with Fey and Schenck previously set this season. Fey totaled five points on two goals and three assists, while Lucia tallied four goals. Timmes finished with three goals for the Cougars
 
In net, freshman Elizabeth Ruedemann (Monmouth Junction, NJ) recorded two saves in the first games. Freshman Nancy Benedetto (Jupiter, FL) came on in the second half, playing all 30 minutes.
 
The Cougars are back home on Wednesday, April 13 as they host Philadelphia University in a CACC clash at 4 pm at Essex Valley School in West Caldwell.
