PHILADELPHIA, Pa.- Sophomore
Mariah Wynn (Clearwater, FL) scored three goals but the Caldwell University Women's Lacrosse team fell to Holy Family University 22-6.
The Cougars fall to 5-7 overall and 5-3 in the CACC, while the Tigers improve to 4-11 and 4-3 in conference play.
Holy Family netted the first five goals of the game to take the early lead. Freshman
Rachel Lucia (Egg Harbor Township, NJ) netted a goal to break the run but the Tigers added two more to lead 7-1. Wynn netted a pair of goals in the final 15 minutes of the half but Caldwell trailed 13-3 at halftime.
The Tigers added nine goals in the second half but the Cougars scored the final three goals of the game. Sophomore
Emily Fey (Center Moriches, NY), Wynn and Lucia netted Caldwell's final three goals of the game in the final five and a half minutes.
In net, freshman
Elizabeth Ruedemann (Monmouth Junction, NJ) recorded five saves in 39 minutes, while freshman
Nancy Benedetto (Jupiter, FL) posted a pair of saves in 21 minutes of play.
The Cougars wrap up CACC play as they host Chestnut Hill College on Saturday, April 23 at 7 pm at West Essex School Field.
