LAKEWOOD, N.J.- Caldwell University volleyball junior
Taryn Auyong (Honolulu, Hawaii) tallied 19 kills as the Cougars eliminated #2 South seed Georgian Court University 3-1 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship Quarterfinals.

The Cougars improve to 22-10 overall and advance to Saturday's semifinals match. The Lions end their season at 18-17.

Georgian Court took the opening set 27-25 but the Cougars rallied with three straight sets wins to take the match. Caldwell took the second set 25-20 and the third set 25-23. The Cougars took the match with a 25-17 win in the fourth set.

Auyong added 15 digs and four aces, while junior
Katrina Janssen (Seville, Australia) totaled 18 kills and 11 digs. Â Sophomore
Melanie Krpec (Katy, Texas) posted five kills, seven digs and two aces, while freshman
Avery Stanechewski (Tampa, Fla.) chipped in six kills and five blocks.

Gabrielle Bennett (San Antonio, Texas) finished with 23 assists and 12 digs, while sophomore
Jordan Hoffman (Colorado Springs, Colo.) added 21 assists, four kills, two aces, five blocks and six digs. Junior
Jessica Mitchell (Plainfield, Ill.) tallied a team-high 16 digs.Â

The #3 North Division seed Cougars advance to their third semifinals in the last four years. Caldwell will face the top seed from the North Division in Post University on Saturday, November 19 at 3:30 pm. The CACC Championship semifinals and championship match will be held on the campus on Wilmington University.
